この週は下北沢と（の）保育園に通った週でした。日曜日に保育園情報交換会＠北沢タウンホール、火曜日は下北の認証保育園見学、木曜日はやはり下北の保育室見学でした。
保育園情報交換、というのだから具体的な保育園の口コミが得られると思ってましたが、一切園の名前は出ずなんだか漠然とした感が拭えずがっかり。しかしすでに保育園に預けているお母さん方から、厳しい世田谷区でも探せば預け先は必ず見つかるのだと聞いて少し安心。
下北の２つの保育園はこぢんまりした家庭的な感じで小さい赤ちゃんを預けるのにはいいのかも。。でも毎日の送り迎えにラッシュの井の頭線に赤ちゃんと一緒に乗るのは厳しいものがあります。そしてこちらの保育園もやはり単願ならば受け入れられるかもということでしたが、家の近くの認可園を併願したいウチにはムリそうでした。

羽根木公園でピクニック10/17 Sat.
寒くなる前に、と先々週の土曜日お友達と羽根木公園でピクニックをしました。曇りがちで肌寒い日でしたが、みんなで持ち寄ったお弁当とお酒で楽しい秋の日になりました。
Askaはお父さんのお膝の上で半分くらい参加、半分くらいはベビーカーでお昼寝でした。

ほっとサンド（子育てカフェ）
学芸大の子育てカフェ、ほっとサンドへ行ってきました。
産院の５月生まれの会で学大に住んでいるお友達が誘ってくれました。
この日集まったのは５人＋赤ちゃん５人。約１ヶ月半ぶりに会う赤ちゃんたちはそれぞれ成長していました！
ここのカフェのすごいところは、お母さんたちがお茶を飲んでいる間に保育士さんや「じいじ」が赤ちゃんの面倒を見てくれるところ。ひどくぐずった時には「おむつ替えかも」とか「ミルクかも」とか呼びに来てくれます。
この日は午後１時から４時までたっぷり３時間、お弁当を食べ、お菓子とお茶を飲みつつのんびりお話を楽しみました。
こういうカフェは初めて来たのでAskaの反応はどうかしら、と思っていましたが、他のお友達がぐずったりしているのを横目にいたってマイペース。１回の授乳＆おむつ替え以外は終始ご機嫌でおもちゃと遊んだりお友達を見たり（時々髪の毛をひっぱったり）していました。
やっぱりうちの子は手がかからない！？

Officially American!
Dad went to the embassy on Thursday and got Aska's passport documents ready, now it's all approved and we'll have her passport in two weeks. Congratulations Aska!
Midori Day-care center
Today (Wednesday 14) we went to check out Midori Day care center, and although it was nice and spacey, the schedules don't match up with our needs, so we'll probably not be going there.
In the evening Dad came home early and as he walked through the door a huge rain storm began, he was very lucky!!!
Since he got home early we bathed together with Aska on a weekday, something that I hadn't been able to do in a while.

Sports, Rugs and Beer
Yuki wen't to the sports club, and Dad and Aska stayed home for a while and then strolled around the town until Yuki was ready.
Then we passed by Shimokitazawa to buy a rug for the kitchen so Aska can crawl around soon.
On the way back we bought lots of beer for the get together on next Saturday. Luckily we found a place called Kakuyasu that was cheap and had free delivery so no need to carry the beer ourselves. Unfortunately Yuki can't drink yet but eventually.

Chatting with Chile
On Sunday we first chatted with Bob, and then chatted with Susi, and everyone in Chile (everyone was together in Valparaiso, for Javiera's birthday).
Unfortunately Susi couldn't get the Camera working so we mostly text chatted, until she discovered that her microphone wasn't connected!
Anyways...
Then we went to a flea market/festival at Hanegi park behind our house.
Afterwards Dad got together with his friends at Sangenchaya.

Aniversary Celebration @ New York Grill
On Saturday we celebrated our 3rd anniversary (for the second time this week) by having lunch at the New York Grill at the Park Hyatt in Shinjuku.
Aska behaved herself, quite well so we had a rather relaxed lunch.
Afterwards we stopped Uniqlo so Yuki could buy some new pants, and then we left for home.
Once we got home we were sleepy and stuffed so we fell asleep and didn't wake up till about 22:00, so we didn't really have dinner, just kind of sat around and that was it.
All in all we had fun and got a nice chance to relax!

Halloween Bib
After the vaccinations we returned home, and Yuki made Aska a cute Halloween bib with some cloth I chose for her at Swanny in Kamakura.
First meal!
Today was Mom and Papa's 3rd wedding anniversary. So Papa stayed home today.
So we did lots of things together today. First we made okayu (rice soup) for Aska, and she had her first meal (upload the video). There was no problem, and in fact Aska grabbed the spoon on her own and eagerly ate her rice all up!

And here they are (brain waves)
So everything went fine, they (Professor Hiraki Kazuo and team) measured Aska's and Yuki's brainwaves while they communicated through a TV set. However the real treat is...
Brain Waves
Today Aska and Yuki are going to Tokyo University, where they'll be measuring their brainwaves as they play together.
This is for a research project on the interactions between mothers and their children. Hopefully Aska doesn't grow super powers like telekinesis!

Today I talked with R2, Susi and Bob!
So, today I got online with R2, Susi and Bob. Susi began to "remake" me a new hat for the winter, as she thought I was much smaller than I really was so it was a bit too small. My head already has 43cm in diameter. I'm also 7kilos and 65cm tall, and weigh 7 kilos already, about 3 times my weight when I was born.
